                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 6, 2009      TO: Honorable Florence Shapiro, Chair, Senate Committee on Education      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1831 by Patrick, Dan (relating to participation by private school students in University Interscholastic League sponsored activities.), Committee Report 1st House, As Amended    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The University Interscholastic League estimates that annual costs would be incurred to meet the requirements of the bill concerning separate state-level competitions for participating private schools.  The costs would be met using revenue from member schools and receipts from the new state-level events.
