The bill would require the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to adopt rules regarding the licensing of court interpreters and providing the qualifications required for a license with a basic designation and the qualifications required for a license with a master designation. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
