A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a public hearing held by the Texas Transportation
Commission in connection with certain highway projects.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Sections 203.021(b) and (c), Transportation
Code, are amended to read as follows:
(b) Notice of the hearing shall be by publication in the
locality. The hearing shall be held not less than five [three] or
more than 20 [10] days after the date of publication.
(c) At least seven days before the date of the public
hearing, the department shall:
(1) file with the governing body of the county or
municipality the design and schematic layout of the project; and
(2) post the design and schematic layout of the
project on the department's Internet website.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
