A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the Harris County Road Law
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 33, Chapter 17, Special Laws, Acts of the
33rd Legislature, Regular Session, 1913, is amended to read as
follows:
Sec. 33. The provisions of this Act are, and shall be held
and construed to be cumulative of all General Laws of this State, on
the subjects treated of in this Act, when not in conflict. This Act
and the rules promulgated pursuant to this Act control over any
provision of general law that is in conflict or inconsistent with
this Act.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
