The bill would amend the Insurance Code to prohibit certain compensation based on rescinding, canceling, or limiting coverage under health benefit plans. Any costs incurred by the Texas Department of Insurance due to the implementation of this bill are anticipated to be absorbed within existing agency resources. Based on analysis by the University of Texas System Administration and the State Office of Risk Management, this bill will have no fiscal impact on either agency.
