A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to access to cemeteries; providing for penalties.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 711.012, Health and Safety Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c) The Texas Funeral Service Commission by rule shall
establish penalties to enforce Section 711.041.
SECTION 2. Not later than December 1, 2009, the Texas
Funeral Service Commission by rule shall adopt penalties as
required by Section 711.012(c), Health and Safety Code, as added by
this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
