                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 20, 2009      TO: Honorable Tommy Williams, Chair, Senate Committee on Administration      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB2251 by Zaffirini (Relating to a Tejano memorial monument on the Capitol grounds.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the State Preservation Board to establish a Tejano memorial monument on the south lawn of the  Capitol grounds.   The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2009.    It is assumed that any additional duties and responsibilities required by the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
