O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE:SB2251 by Zaffirini (Relating to a Tejano memorial monument on the Capitol grounds.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would require the State Preservation Board to establish a Tejano memorial monument on the historic south grounds of the Capitol. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2009. It is assumed that any additional duties and responsibilities required by the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
