Solomons, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB2292 by Lucio (Relating to the establishment of a natural disaster housing reconstruction initiative.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the establishment of a natural disaster housing reconstruction initiative. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs could incur costs to the extent it chose to fund a portion of the initiative if local entities did not do so. Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
