O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB346 by Nelson (Relating to information submitted to and maintained in the immunization registry after an individual becomes an adult.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill provides that an individual is allowed to maintain their immunization records in the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) immunization registry (ImmTrac) beyond the individuals 18th birthday.   The bill will take effect September 1, 2009.   The bill also requires the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to develop and maintain a separate database to retain certain immunization information and to develop educational information for health care providers relating to the immunization registry and the option for adults to consent to submission and retention of information in the registry.   It is assumed that any cost associated with the activities required under the bill can be absorbed within existing agency resources.
