O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB376 by Carona (Relating to the powers and duties of the Texas Department of Transportation related to county traffic officers.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Section 701.006, Transportation Code, to remove certain procedures related to removal of a county traffic officer as those procedures affect actions authorized for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and a county commissioners court. The bill would also repeal Section 701.002(b), Transportation Code, to repeal the requirement that TxDOT advise county traffic officers on enforcement of state highway traffic regulation laws.
