O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB543 by Carona (Relating to certain possessory liens.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Property Code to prescribe certain notice requirements for a holder of a worker's possessory lien on certain motor vehicles, motorboats, vessels, or outboard motors. Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, it is assumed that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agencies' existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
