The bill would require the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to establish, by rule, a distributed solar generation incentive program to be implemented by electric utilities. The bill would require the PUC to oversee the implementation of the program and establish procedures to achieve the program's goals. The Public Utility Commission indicates that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
