BILL ANALYSIS Senate Research Center S.B. 663 By: Averitt Natural Resources 9/17/2009 Enrolled AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT The Tablerock Groundwater Conservation District, created by S.B. 3, 80th Legislature, Regular Session, 2007, is a single-county district in Coryell County. Coryell County is pursuing efforts to join an existing groundwater conservation district to manage the aquifer on a regional basis. S.B. 663 relates to the dissolution of the Tablerock Groundwater Conservation District. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Provides that the Tablerock Groundwater Conservation District is finally dissolved on the effective date of this Act. SECTION 2. Repealer: Chapter 8823 (Tablerock Groundwater Conservation District), Special District Local Laws Code. SECTION 3. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2009.
