The bill would amend the Public Information Act (PIA) provision that allows legislators to obtain for legislative purposes confidential information that would otherwise be protected under the PIA. The Office of the Attorney General anticipates any legal work resulting from the passage of this bill could be reasonably absorbed with current agency resources.
