The bill would amend the Insurance Code to allow non-physician health care providers that join a group of other non-physicians to request expedited credentialing. The bill would result in the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) receiving an increase in complaints from providers who are denied expedited credentialing. TDI indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
