O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB793 by Hegar (Relating to certification of a person as eligible for disabled parking privileges.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to allow the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to accept a notarized statement from an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant, acting under the delegation and supervision of a licensed physician, with an initial application for the issuance of a disabled parking placard. Based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
