O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB842 by Averitt (Relating to the operation of health care sharing organizations.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Insurance Code regarding health care sharing organizations. The bill would require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to conduct enforcement activities regarding complaints for these organizations and adopt rules regarding implementation of this bill. The OAG anticipates any legal work resulting from the passage of this bill could be reasonably absorbed with current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
