O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB865 by Harris (Relating to child support enforcement.), As Passed 2nd House    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Family Code related to the collection and enforcement of child support. The bill would also amend the Family Code related to health care coverage for children within the childsupport program (Title IV-D) and require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to develop andimplement a statewide program to address the health care needs of children in Title IV-D cases.The Office of the Attorney General indicates that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
