Dutton Jr., Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1283 by Craddick (relating to consideration of a bidder s principal place of business in awarding certain municipal contracts.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code to increase the amount of an expenditure for a non-construction related service from $100,000 to $500,000 for which a municipality may consider entering into certain contracts. Construction services would maintain the original limit of $100,000. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
