The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require certain vehicle combinations with at least two super single tires on the rearmost axle of the vehicle or rearmost vehicle in the combination be equipped with certain safety guards or flaps. The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state from the provisions of the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
