                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 20, 2011      TO: Honorable Tommy Williams, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation & Homeland Security      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1330 by Raymond (Relating to the use of safety guards or flaps on certain vehicles or vehicle combinations.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require certain vehicle combinations with at least two super single tires on the rearmost axle of the vehicle or rearmost vehicle in the combination be equipped with certain safety guards or flaps. The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state from the provisions of the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
