A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to personalization of certain license plates issued to
veterans with disabilities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 504.202, Transportation Code, is amended
by amending Subsection (e) and adding Subsection (i) to read as
follows:
(e) Other than license plates issued under Subsection (h) or
personalized under Subsection (i), license plates issued under this
section must include:
(1) the letters "DV" as a prefix or suffix to any
numeral on the plate; and
(2) the words "Disabled Veteran" and "U.S. Armed
Forces" at the bottom of each license plate.
(i) A person entitled to specialty license plates under this
section may personalize the license plates.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
