The bill would amend the Family Code to allow a court to appoint a parenting coordinator in a suit affecting a parent-child relationship on a volunteer basis and without compensation if a domestic relations or other county agency are unavailable and minimum qualifications are met. The analysis assumes any additional work resulting from implementing the provisions of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
