The bill would amend several statutes to change references to the TexasOnline project from TexasOnline to the state electronic Internet portal. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2011. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.
