The bill would amend Section 504.3011, Transportation Code, to require specialty license plates issued by the Deparment of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for former members of the United States Armed forces to include the words "Honorably Discharged" on the request of an applicant for the specialty plates. Based on the analysis of DMV, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
