 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to reporting donations received by a school district and
 public school campus.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter D, Chapter 11, Education Code, is
 amended by adding Section 11.1561 to read as follows:
 Sec. 11.1561.  REPORT OF DONATIONS. (a) A school district
 shall annually report all monetary and nonmonetary donations
 received by the district and each school campus in the district in
 the manner specified by the commissioner. The report must be
 submitted through the Public Education Information Management
 System (PEIMS) and include a statement of:
 (1)  the amount of any monetary donation;
 (2)  the fair market value and a description of any
 nonmonetary donation;
 (3)  the name and location of the school campus, if the
 donation was made to a campus; and
 (4)  any restrictions or conditions placed on the
 donation by the donor.
 (b)  A report under this section must be posted on the
 Internet website of the school district and school campus, if
 applicable.
 SECTION 2.  This Act applies beginning with the 2011-2012
 school year.
 SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
