The bill would require the Department of Family and Protective Services to report annually on efforts made to place children in adoptive homes. The report must include certain information sorted by region and district. The bill would take effect immediately with a two-thirds vote of all members elected to each house, or on September 1, 2011. It is assumed any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and can be absorbed within available resources.
