AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT H.B. 1834 amends current law relating to elimination of certain requirements for increasing community awareness of prekindergarten programs offered by or in partnership with school districts. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Repealer: Section 29.1534 (Notification of Prekindergarten Programs), Education Code. SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2011.
