                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 3, 2011      TO: Honorable Larry Taylor, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB185 by Smith, Todd (Relating to the notice provided of early voting polling places.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the location of the main early voting polling place be included in the election order and notice and would remove the requirement that each early voting polling place location be included in the election order and notice.  The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.  It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.
