                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 5, 2011      TO: Honorable Byron Cook, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1872 by Giddings (Relating to requirements regarding information to be provided to employees covered by workers' compensation health care networks.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to requirements regarding information to be provided to employees covered by workers' compensation health care networks. Based on the analysis provided by the Texas Department of Insurance and the Texas Department of Transportation, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing agency resources. Based on the analysis provided by the State Office of Risk Management, the Texas A&M University System, and the University of Texas System Administration, it is assumed that implementation of the bill will have no fiscal impact on these agencies. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
