                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 13, 2011      TO: Honorable Garnet Coleman, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1917 by Schwertner (Relating to the removal of appointed emergency services commissioners by a commissioners court.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize a commissioners court of a county in which an emergency services district is located to remove a board member by an order adopted by a majority vote. The bill would repeal Sections 775.0422(c) and (d) of the Health and Safety Code. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
