                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 12, 2011      TO: Honorable Jim Jackson, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2047 by Lewis (Relating to service of process at the registered office of certain registered agents.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would allow process to be served by serving an agent or clerk at the registered office of the registered agent if the registered agent is a domestic entity or foreign entity that is also required to appoint a registered agent.  This bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
