The bill would amend the Election Code to allow a poll watcher to have possession of a mechanical or electronic means of recording images or sounds for the purpose of reporting to the authority holding the election, the secretary of state, the attorney general, or a law enforcement officer an irregularity or violation of law relating to the election. The bill would repeal Section 33.051(c) of the Election Code. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
