The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to suspension of payment of certain income benefits under the workers' compensation system for failure to submit to a designated doctor examination. Based on the analysis by the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Based on the analysis provided by the State Office of Risk Management, implementation of the bill will result in a savings, but this analysis assumes that the savings will not be significant. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
