The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code by adding any compound structurally derived from 2-aminopropanal by substitution at the 1-position with any monocyclic or fused-polycyclic ring system to Penalty Group 2 of the Texas Controlled Substances Act. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011. The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the State from this bill. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
