The bill would amend Section 31.121 of the Parks and Wildlife Code to provide that Game Wardens commissioned by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, are the primary enforcement officers responsible for enforcing the provisions of Chapter 31 related to water safety. To the extent the bill would designate Game Wardens as primary enforcement officers for this purpose; no fiscal implication to the state is anticipated. The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote of all members in both houses. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
