The bill would amend the Transportation Code to indicate the Department of Public Safety (DPS) could not include information related to whether a person has been diagnosed, treated, or hospitalized for a psychiatric disorder on an application for a drivers license. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state from the bill.
