The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to enter into comprehensive development agreements (CDA) relating various highway projects specified by the bill. The authority to enter into a CDA for certain projects authorized by the bill would expire on August 31, 2015. Based on the information and analysis provided by TxDOT, it is assumed that any costs or duties associated implementing the proposed CDAs would be accommodated within existing resources and through the allocation of the agency's existing highway planning and construction appropriations. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
