                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 13, 2011      TO: Honorable Pete Gallego, Chair, House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2337 by Gallego (Relating to the admissibility of certain statements made by a child in a juvenile justice or criminal proceeding.  ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure relating to the admissibility of certain statements made by a child in certain court proceedings.  The bill would add provisions relating to statements obtained in other states or by a federal law enforcement officer. To the extent the bill would amend court procedures, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
