The bill would amend various statutes that classify political subdivisions according to population. The bill would amend statutes relating to population that are in need of change to reflect the new population data contained in the 2010 U.S. Census. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates that no significant fiscal implication is anticipated from the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
