                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 20, 2011      TO: Honorable Kevin Eltife, Chair, Senate Committee on Administration      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2702 by Solomons (Relating to the application of statutes that classify political subdivisions according to population. ), Committee Report 2nd House, As Amended    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend various statutes that classify political subdivisions according to population. The bill would amend statutes relating to population that are in need of change to reflect the new population data contained in the 2010 U.S. Census. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates that no significant fiscal implication is anticipated from the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. The bill would amend various statutes that classify political subdivisions according to population.
