The bill would amend the Utilities Code to add certain energy use programs to the list of program options that the commission can consider for evaluation and utilities may implement to satisfy energy efficiency goals. Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission, it is assumed that responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
