The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to reform certain remedies and procedures relating to civil litigation including attorneys fees, early dismissal and expedited trials. The Supreme Court would be required to adopt rules regarding an expedited and fair resolution of non-meritorious cases. According to the Office of Court Administration (OCA), the provisions of the bill would be procedural steps and would not have a significant impact on the court's resources or staff.
