                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 11, 2011      TO: Honorable Mike Hamilton, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2741 by Kleinschmidt (Relating to rules requiring license name in advertising of a structural pest control business.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would provide the Department of Agriculture (TDA) the authority to adopt a rule requiring the license name of a pest control business to be on all advertising. TDA indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house; otherwise it would take effect September 1, 2011.
