 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to requiring signs at intersections with photographic
 traffic monitoring systems and photographic traffic signal
 enforcement systems.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Section 544.012, Transportation Code, is amended
 by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
 (f)  A municipality shall install a sign at each intersection
 at which a photographic traffic monitoring system is in active use
 and at which turning right is permissible as provided by Section
 544.007(d). The sign must indicate the location at which the
 operator of the vehicle must stop the vehicle when facing a steady
 red signal to comply with Section 544.007(d).
 SECTION 2.  Section 707.003, Transportation Code, is amended
 by adding Subsection (g-1) to read as follows:
 (g-1)  A local authority shall install a sign at each
 intersection at which a photographic traffic signal enforcement
 system is in active use and at which turning right is permissible as
 provided by Section 544.007(d). The sign must indicate the
 location at which the operator of the vehicle must stop the vehicle
 when facing a steady red signal to comply with Section 544.007(d).
 SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
