The bill would amend Chapter 2302 of the Occupations Code, relating to the regulation of salvage vehicle dealers, to authorize the Department of Motor Vehicles to impose an administrative penalty against a person who violates Chapter 2302 or a rule adopted under that chapter. Based on the analysis of the Department of Motor Vehicles, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
