                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 25, 2011      TO: Honorable Wayne Smith, Chair, House Committee on Environmental Regulation      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3163 by Hancock (Relating to responsibilities of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Production Area Authorizations.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would remove the opportunity for a contested case hearing for certain authorizations related to in situ uranium mining submitted to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) after September 1, 2007.  Passage of the bill is not expected to have a significant impact on TCEQ's workload.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
