The bill would require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) provide an opportunity for a public hearing and the submittal of public comment, as well as send notice of a decision on an application for a permit amendment application for electric generating facilities seeking permit amendments to comply with new Maximum Achievable Control Technology standards promulgated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under Federal Clean Air Act.
