                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 19, 2011      TO: Honorable Jim Keffer, Chair, House Committee on Energy Resources      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3259 by Strama (Relating to the goal of installing additional capacity for generating renewable energy.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Utilities Code relating to the states goals for installing generating capacity from renewable energy technologies, including capacity from renewable energy technologies other than wind energy technologies. Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
